How we quote
Somebody comes out, measures the actual runs, walks the roofline, counts your downspouts and looks at the fascia behind the gutter. Then you get a number in writing with the material and the aluminum gauge named on it.
We don't quote gutter over the phone. Footage, height and roofline complexity decide the price, and none of those can be measured on a call. Anybody who gives you a firm number sight-unseen is either padding it or planning to revise it on the day.
What we won't do
Install foam or brush gutter guards. Hang guard over a gutter that's failing. Sell a replacement where a repair will hold. Quote .019 aluminum and call it standard.
We turn down work on open lots where guards wouldn't earn their keep, and we tell people when their wet basement is a below-grade problem we can't solve with a downspout. Third generation — the reputation is worth more than the sale.
Warranty and insurance
Lifetime workmanship warranty on our labor, written on the contract rather than promised at the door. Full general liability and workers' comp, with certificates provided before we start.
Ask every contractor bidding your job for both. The ones who hesitate are telling you something.

Since 1947. The company is on its third generation of the Beal family and it's still headquartered in the St. Louis area.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — full general liability and workers' compensation. We provide certificates before work starts, and you should ask every contractor for them.
Do you really answer the phone at night?
Yes. A person, not a menu. Storms don't happen during business hours in this metro.
What warranty do you offer?
A lifetime workmanship warranty on our labor, in writing on the contract, plus whatever the material manufacturer provides.
